Cheryl Lesser is the President of Great Bay Community College. She has a PhD that focused on community college leadership, a master’s degree in Spanish literature, and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Education.
She started her professional career as a high school teacher and quickly continued into the community college as a member of the Spanish and French faculty. She continued her 35-year career at the community college in administration roles, first as Dean of Liberal Arts, Social Science, and Education, and then as Vice President of Academic Affairs. She recently came from northeast Pennsylvania and before that was in upstate New York and New Jersey.
Cheryl is a wife and mother and recently became a consuegra (mother-in-law). She lives in Dover with her husband and husky, Sox. She enjoys walks, kayaking, and good movies.
